Here is the short version, and it surprises people: Camiguin is cheap once you're on it. The island's entrance fees are measured in tens of pesos. A waterfall costs less than a coffee. A whole day of scooter freedom on a sixty-four-kilometre ring road costs less than a taxi ride in Manila.
What isn't cheap is getting here. On a three-day trip, the flight is usually the single largest line on your budget — bigger than all your activities put together, and often bigger than your room.
Understand that one thing and you plan a Camiguin trip properly: book the flight early and stop worrying about everything else.
Below is what it actually costs, in pesos, with the fees we send guests off with every week. All figures are indicative — Philippine fees move without much announcement, so treat them as planning numbers and confirm on the ground.

The short answer: three daily budgets
Per person, per day, excluding the flight in:

Add the flight, which is a one-off: roughly ₱1,300–1,900 one way from Cebu, occasionally ₱1,219 on a seat sale, and past ₱3,000 at peak.
For a rough foreign-currency sense, the peso has historically traded somewhere around ₱50–60 to the US dollar — check the live rate, because that band moves.
Getting there: your biggest single cost

The counterintuitive bit: the cheapest route is barely cheaper. The all-ferry Bohol chain saves you a few hundred pesos and costs you seven hours. Unless the journey itself is the point, fly.
Where you actually save: booking early. Camiguin's airport takes roughly one small turboprop a day from Cebu, so seat prices climb steeply as it fills. The difference between booking in January and booking in September for an October trip can be more than the rest of your week's activities combined.
Accommodation
Nightly, for a double room. Rates rise sharply during Holy Week, the Filipino summer (late March–May), Lanzones Festival week in October and Christmas–New Year.

Two things worth checking before you compare prices: is breakfast included (on this island it's often the best meal of the day and it's served over the sea), and is the airport transfer included, or extra — asking up front saves both the fare and the negotiation. There is no Grab or ride-hailing on Camiguin. Budget for a scooter, a resort transfer or a tricycle — not an app.
For most couples, a scooter for two days (₱900 total) covers the entire island. That is the single best value on this list.

This is where Camiguin quietly rewards you. Every headline attraction costs less than a cocktail.

Boat fares are charged per boat, not per person, which makes them dramatically cheaper split between four:

Guided Mt. Hibok-Hibok ascent and birdwatching inside the protected forest both require accredited guides and permits. Reported birding fees have run around ₱1,200 per group of three plus ₱200 per person environmental fee, but those figures come from an older write-up — confirm current rates with the tourism office, and don't budget from a blog.
Add it up: a full day of the island's greatest hits — a waterfall, two springs, the ruins and the sunken cemetery — costs under ₱300 per person in fees. The scooter to reach them costs more than the sights themselves.

Add the flight to all three. And note how the shape changes: at backpacker level, transport dominates; at the comfortable end, it's the room and the table.
What people forget to budget for
- ATMs. There are few on Camiguin and they run out of cash, especially at weekends and during festival week. Bring pesos with you from Cebu. This is the single most common practical mistake visitors make.
- The airport transfer. Ask whether it's included before you compare room rates.
- The 5% service charge on resort dining.
- Guide and permit fees for Hibok-Hibok and protected-area birding — not large, but not zero, and easy to overlook.
- A weather buffer day. Boat trips depend on the sea. If your whole trip is three days and one is a washout, you've lost a third of it. See best time to visit Camiguin for which months are calmest.
- Peak-date pricing. Four windows push everything up: Holy Week, the Filipino summer, Lanzones Festival week and Christmas–New Year.
Where to save, and where not to
Save on: transport around the island (a scooter beats a driver for two people), food (carinderias are genuinely good), and boats (fill the boat — the fare is per vessel, so four people pay a quarter each).
Don't save on: the flight, by booking late. Or on a room with a view, if the view is why you came — on this island, where you wake up is a large part of what you're buying, and the difference between a windowless room and one with the Bohol Sea at eye level is smaller than most people assume.
And the free things are the best things: sunset from any west-facing stretch of coast, the stars over the Bohol Sea on a clear night, the black-sand beaches at golden hour, and the ring road itself.
